I don't have close contact with children, but given the amount of contact I have with families at markets, I think I will be opting in to getting a measles booster. It's a live virus vaccine, and I've heard it's no fun, but likely much better than the real thing!

I just had my yearly checkup and I asked if we could test for measles immunity. Well, I am not (no longer?) immune to measles!

I wonder if we'll be able to go to Mexico for Covid shots?

Doesn't seem right that the government can tell me I can't get a vaccine if I want it. But given the gutting of the FDA, who knows if it'll even be an up-to-date shot targeting the latest strains?

And there wasn't even a urinal in the "Men's", just a sink and a toilet, presumably just like the "Women's". We have such a weird hangup about gendered bathrooms.

The other day I was picking up food from a restaurant shortly before closing (I work in food delivery), and I asked to use the restroom. They had already cleaned the "Women's" for the night, so they told me I could use the "Men's". As I did so, it dawned on me that this is illegal in some states 😩
