I’m just using my case as an example here - but what the hell are victims of any crime which leaves them with devastating lifelong effects supposed to take from this? It takes quite a lot to make me angry, but this definitely has.
The felling of that tree was awful, mindless vandalism. They deserve to face consequences for their actions.
The man who sexually abused me (and others) was neither remanded in custody between verdict and sentencing, nor put in prison for ‘a lengthy period’…
