That didn’t look like trespace to me, it looked like a pilgrimage. 100% goode!
Quorum calls are also an answer to “What do you expect House Dems to dooooo, they don’t have the majority?!?!?!?” They’re also how we know that House Dems aren’t serious about opposing this administration.
They’re probably not, at least not all of them, see, e.g., quorum calls.

Gee, I wonder why?

For Dems to be credible on corruption, they’d have to shine the light on themselves.
See, e.g., stock trading, AIPAC donations, Blavatnik donations, Pelosi’s support of Cuellar, etc.
Don’t get me wrong, love to see it, but it’s a “message” to Dems, not something they are or can be serious about.
It’d be even greater to see Democrats not treat anti-corruption as a “message,” but as a deep threat to our democracy that must be shredded.
Dems are pretty effing corrupt themselves, so treating anti-corruption as a more than a “message” means taking themselves down, too, so …
The stock market is not the economy, and the stock market has been/is even more so now subject to manipulation.
One wonders whether wealthy Trumpists are supporting it …
Sell tickets, provide sledgehammers and hardhats and let we the people do it.
Get it all on film.
3/3 GOP members’ necks.
But an investigatory commission into whether or not Trump is mentally unfit enough to invoke the 25th Amendment? Even if it passed, no doctor is going to testify meaningfully without examining him. It is a quintessential do-nothing ass cover.
2/3 force GOP members to go on record voting against impeachment, an actual constitutional tool in the House’s toolkit?
Not that articles of impeachment have to be detailed, but there’s enough in the public record to get fairly specific so that nay votes will be specific enough to at least hang …
1/3 My point is that the GOP isn’t going to do either - impeachment or 25th Amendment investigatory commissions. The former, however, is sourced in the House’s constitutional powers, the latter is made up, dilatory bullshit.
If House Dems want to do something that won’t get GOP votes, why not …
Hoo boy, the Raskin 25th Amendment boondoggle is revivifying all the hopium addicts.
Impeachment in the House requires a simple majority. The Senate requires 2/3 to convict.
This is a pressure relief valve, BS designed to keep us off their backs about impeachment.
And the GOP’s gonna flock to vote for this, you betcha.
More @housedemocrats.bsky.social @raskin.house.gov BS.
I’d like to hear their lame ass excuses for why this is better than impeachment.
We’re not going to fall for this sleight of hand.

To do list:
1. Pretend it’s the apocalypse
2. Watch the billionaires scurry off to their bunkers
3. Brick up the entrances
4. Relax
4/4 leverage and how to use it.
Only the deluded care about the cost of eggs when a sociopathic narcissist has nukes at his disposal and is making less than veiled threats to use them.
Use all the power you have now before he uses his.
