The structure of our government favors minority rule and allows for gerrymandering and suppression. Yes, we have about 35-40% of the population who are objectively awful, but a lot of people can't vote or don't feel like it would make any difference.

Peaceful co-existence is the only goal any serious person should be aiming for. Anyone who isn't on board with that isn't serious, and doesn't deserve a seat at the table.
We don't need, in other words, certain territory that only belongs to one type of person, and we absolutely don't need to completely eliminate some other type of person to ensure that we have the space we want. We can share, y'all. Really. And that should be the goal of all foreign policy.
We have an advantage as 21st-century humans, though. It is, in fact, possible to sustain and even grow the entire human population with just what we already have on the planet. We're not limited to small chunks of territory we've already depleted, and we know how to manage those resources.
There have been wars for territory all over the planet since the beginning of time. Such is the nature of, well, nature. All living things are always seeking a habitat where they can find food and safety and make more of their species, and where resources are limited, battles ensue.
Approaches that go back to the question of whether the modern state of Israel should have been established at all are, to be frank, irrelevant. We can't undo the past, and the kind of ethnic cleansing necessary to try to do so is unthinkable. Where do we go/what do we do NOW should be the only Q.
It seems like a very, very basic thing to say that anyone who thinks the region should belong to any one group, ESPECIALLY if they're using violence against civilians to achieve that goal, shouldn't be at the negotiating table. Hamas? No. Bibi and Likud? No. U.S. Evangelicals? Fuck, no.

The government changed my passport gender marker.
I have NO documentation stating I'm male. Not my birth certificate, driver's license, medical records. I'm intersex, so I don't even know what a DNA test might say.
