One of the joys of archival reclassification (aka "spring cleaning after a brutal winter") is the rediscovery of Very Cool Things fans of ElfQuest have gifted us over the years. In 1989, reader Dena Wiener presented us with this absolutely charming and realistic replica of one of EQ's preservers. (Forgive me if I can't call up its name from memory. But - red body, yellow cap, blue wings - it is indeed one of the troupe.) Now that I've taken dust mop and vacuum to my office, Pretty Spitty has a shiny new shelf to adorn.

The 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of the ElfQuest Roleplaying Game from Chaosium.

The original 1984 game sold well & was popular enough for @chaosium.bsky.social to produce a second edition in 1989. The 2024 40th anniversary ElfQuest RPG Kickstarter blew through its funding goals in just a few days and is now shipping to backers. It'll soon be available for sale.
