🤝 From January 27 to 29, 2026, the Indigenous Wildfire Operations Working Group met with CIFFC in Winnipeg, to discuss concrete steps towards increasing Indigenous leadership and involvement in wildfire operations and resource sharing in Canada.

La dernière mobilisation canadienne en Australie a eu lieu entre novembre 2019 et janvier 2020, pendant les incendies dévastateurs de l'« été noir ».
Nos pensées vont aux communautés touchées et à tous les intervenants en première ligne.
Au fil des ans, l'Australie a apporté son soutien au Canada à de nombreuses reprises, se tenant à nos côtés pendant certaines des saisons les plus difficiles en matière de feux de forêt. Aujourd'hui, le Canada est fier de rendre la pareille.
Des équipes canadiennes spécialisées dans la lutte contre les feux de forêt ont été déployées pour aider l'Australie à faire face à de graves incendies. Ce déploiement témoigne du partenariat solide et de longue date entre nos deux pays en matière de gestion des feux de forêt.
The last Canadian mobilization to Australia took place between November 2019 and January 2020 during the devastating “Black Summer” fires.
Our thoughts are with affected communities and all responders on the front line.
Australia has supported Canada numerous times over the years, standing with us during some of our most challenging wildland fire seasons. Today, Canada is proud to return that support.
