I'll throw in a rec for Gunfire Reborn! it's a great co-op game and very accessible for people of all skill levels (speaking as someone who is also not very good at FPS games in general), I love the art style, and the devs are constantly updating the game with new content

i'd recommend checking out the medals from Buf Fables if you're looking for inspiration! the one that stuck out to me most was Weak Stomach, which causes healing items to also poison you. doesn't seem good, but it synergizes well with other medals that proc when you're poisoned
like Ulysses? i'm not sure there's a single word that encompasses both ideas, but i guess the closest thing i can think of is "formative/foundational" if it becomes the basis for other works
