A discord post from Ramsey. It reads: "we're very averse to releasing anything in an incomplete state anymore, so that's gonna be the MO moving forward"
Also, it has been confirmed all new Fraymakers content that is released will not be in an incomplete state (e.g the incomplete sprites on fighters from long ago, I think). It's been like this for a while but I don't think any official post has been made about it? Doesn't hurt to mention it.
A discord message from Ramsey. It reads: "Initial implementation is base stages only, but definitely open to integrating customs down the line! Wanted to get the feature out quickly for base players who can't use random anymore to get a guaranteed "legal" layout after Super Gravitron was added."
The Random Stage Select menu won't work with Custom Content, but they're open to integrating it down the line.
A discord post from Ramsey. It reads: "Hi Fray Friends! While we've been hard at work preparing the Spring and Summer character releases, we're also making sure to find the time to build content for patches. The upcoming patch isn't quite ready yet, but you can expect a new Random Stage Select menu, substantial enemy CPU improvements and more to be included in it. Thanks for your patience!" It also includes an image, which is also attached to this bluesky post.
The image attached to the discord message screenshot seen in the previous image. It shows a new tab menu in the Match Options menu titled "Stage Switch." Based on the wording of the discord post, this menu allows you to choose which stages get put into the pool of stages to choose from when you pick "Random Stage." Every stage and their hazard variant are shown, along with a blacked out entry, which probably belongs to the "Coming Soon" stage we can currently see in-game right now with the multiple stage layouts icon.
