I write about heroes. They find themselves and heal their hearts. I do it because I need the warmth. I wouldn’t call it an act of rebellion… but it lets me put the world aside and bask in the positivity. I need it. I assume others do as well. You’re not alone. I see and hear you.

I have difficulty processing the horror happening around me. I’ve cut out my news, built walls around my online presence, and erected boundaries to hold the negativity at bay. It’s bleeding into this safe space I’ve created for myself. The walls are crumbling. It’s been a struggle.

Be kind. I say this aloud often. Lately, I find it difficult to be a lantern in storm. I wake up exhausted. The well is on empty. My shoulders struggle to carry life’s trauma. I am tired.
