The BBC news is produced centrally I.e. same basic messages for all its channels, with a bit of tweaking to suit the audience of each. They switch over to the newsroom for the bulletins and then switch back again, hence the inconsistency

It’s likely liberal democracy will prove to be a brief aberration in the long history of autocracy, dictatorship and oppression, unfortunately. No doubt in the future people will debate how and why we let it go with so little opposition .
