Hard agree.

Is this a bit?
What copper stolen in which format? Resold how?
[GCPD's wireless security scans the RFID chip in Bruce Wayne's driver's license, tucked into Batman's tights, and notifies Gordon.]
Jim: Oh. Hi, Bruce! Really enjoyed that river-side cook-out last month! So, about this mass-murderer…

Both genders of the Trans World Airlines Overnight Bag is… really something.
Yeah, that’s already more attention than any sensible person should pay to those clowns.
Yikes! That’s too many at the same time! Ow!
(Short version: the young man up at the start of this comes vaguely out of the incel “movement”, which promotes breaking one’s own jaw bone with a hammer imagining it’ll grow back “better” somehow.)
Your going to broken bones as a point of reference without apparently knowing why the slime ball involved is “newsworthy” is too perfect. Please don’t admit it was a bit.
(But aside: broken clavicles suck! I think less than ribs, because breathing doesn’t hurt…? Mileage may vary.)
clavicular? sneako? are we living in a dick tracy comic??
It took me A While to shut up and accept the first 30 minutes or so, but "Wake Up Dead Man" is a work of art that I recommend.
Attached screenshot spoils nothing, but it may be funny if you can parse those letters. It helps if you are aware of professional wrestling's fandom.
I'm curious what your tell for "polo people" is, honestly…
I swim at both a (PHL) urban YMCA and (when joining friends) a suburban one.
In neither case do I see anybody else think about sets on the clock, which: fine!
(Suburbanly, people get angry when I join their lane without prior approval.)
You’re underselling your own fitness there, I think. I agree with what you say about rhythm, but hitting that rhythm over distance depends on multiple muscle groups keeping up with each other. Good job keeping them all up to par! I’m sure not there any longer!
(I guess I sometimes also threw a ball around, but with at least 30 year’s distance from my last competitive game: water polo’s more about getting to the right place at the right time than anything else. See also all ball sports, really.)
That’s so much more fly than I ever did to train in high school & college. Bravo! That’s a *serious* workout!
(Fwiw, I mostly played polo, so what I’m “good” at is tread egg-beater indefinitely and sprint 20 yds without notice, but… fly’s a workout!)
No, I was not aware of that specific abuse of perceived police power. That sucks.
I don’t think that public consideration of which BAV test the cops haven’t been documented to circumvent yet is a useful approach to push back against police abuse of power.
I guess both of you could also just not drive drunk? I’d prefer neither of you did.
What’s the actual argument you’re having here?
I’m not sure either of you really wants to be on either side of it.
It’s okay. “Celebrate” and “mock” are functionally synonyms in modern use, context-dependent.
There’s a pretty blurry line between “making something a [virtual] collectible trading card game” and “gambling”. Call this the Kalshification of Knowledge if you write for, like, “The Atlantic”, or whatever.
While that makes sense, it racks up negative points on my being comfortable cycling near a robot car, especially in low light.
Seems like maybe it shouldn’t be on cyclists (motor or not) to alter their road habits for robot cars.
Fun thought experiment: how does the Waymo distinguish between a push bike and a motorcycle in this context?
Is it swerving right because it thinks the motorcycle ahead of it is more right about where the center of the road is than its perception of the lane line?
As a human whose primary (by choice: transit if I’m lazy, car out of town/ample cargo) mode of transit is cycling, I would prefer the robot car’s evasive action to be away from me, rather than towards me.
Shoulder-checking to see this move with nobody behind the wheel would be terrifying.
“Demon” seems kinda harsh for mild-mannered Steve Inskeep.
Fair enough. I wasn’t trying to defend the dude, just confused.
While his take is pretty shitty, unless I missed something, neither Israel nor the US were bombing Iran eight months ago, so I kinda doubt he was talking about bombs.
I propose a (weak) theory there…

Yes, but at least that group got the right hemisphere, let alone continent.
The cluster in southwest Missouri is baffling. Even with awareness of Memphis (TN) and Cairo (IL), and the relative locations of their namesakes, that’s the wrong cardinal direction…
Believing the 50 million dollars is available to the party posing the challenge is the sticking point for me.
I thought they delayed GTA 6…?
As near as I can tell, Eighth Inch (dot com) is no longer a going concern, but… damn, they made sturdy rims!
My eighthinch.com Amelia wheel in my truing stand.
I beat the crap out of this bike frequently, and maintain it less than I think I should. This front wheel is just a *hair* out of true (after five years of my use: who knows for the prior owner) right at the product label and a 1/16th turn further counter-clockwise.
