"Ramblings" from people who have been afforded an extraordinary amount of power over - well everything. And it's only increasing.

That's underplaying the threat that they are, isn't it? I don't know how you label them as mere ramblings when the tech nazis have been afforded so much power to enact on them.

Sonny and Sienna both getting new families. A long time coming, but how exciting for them both.

She did. They used to do incrementalism in favour of the people now they do incrementalism in favour of capital. The only way forward is re-nationalising our electricity supply given the future we face. That I would support. I doubt that we'll get a chance at it. "Democracy".

This is the crux for me. It’s not about whether Starmer knew about the failed vetting; it’s that Starmer created a situation where the appointment didn’t allow for failed vetting

being willing to oppose the status quo. As long as we have no working class people representation willing to do so, nothing even has the slightest chance of change.

Polanski has made some good political decisions. Going after Labour and taking advice to form economic policy from the likes of Richard Murphy among them. Hopefully should they go on to win the party will allow him to really work in the interests of working class people. NZ could take lessons on

US economy is based on Ponzi scheme that could collapse, warns economist Michael Hudson
US economy is based on Ponzi scheme that could collapse, warns economist Michael Hudson YouTube video by Geopolitical Economy Report

It's amazing how every crisis traces back to the opposition party that claims to want to address the problem, but instead builds the foundation for the next collapse. When the economy crashes again, so much of it will be traced back to Obama. His presidency will age worse than Clinton's.

The death of western liberal democracy is rather boringly predictable.

Nothing. Nothing should be exchanged. Less inequality and more fairness is what is needed. We're making poorer people's lives smaller and smaller for the benefit of wealthy people. The people who live in these types of homes do not always work in city centres.

You just said new developments. And regardless, the issues for people remain. It's not value if you are making people's lives more difficult.

Well we can't have developers not making maximum profits now can we? The answer must be that we make life as hard as possible for working class people who are more likely to need a car. Never a shortage of land for the wealthy to own and park lots of cars though is there?

Too little too late. That's why we are allowed to talk about it now. And only from NZF who they know they need for another NACT govt.

I want a no confidence box on the ballot. If we don't have something worth voting for we should at least be heard about not wanting what we have.

Oof. Passion yes, but miss me with the charisma. I would prefer the driest, most boring candidate in existence as long as it is someone who actually cares enough about forging a path of change. I know there are a lot of people looking for a lead in a show, but there are an awful lot who are not too.

Seems deserving. People who are pretty adamant about Labour doing well obviously don't think it matters. I don't agree with them.

If NZ does not demand re-nationalisation of electricity supply it is a big mistake, especially if/when the country electrifies everything. The 'market' is not going to stop expecting increasing profits from the NZ public. Even those who can escape outrageous home use exploitation will not be immune.

Is it really more draconian than the US who also have the death penalty? Only difference is the US use it primarily against poor people who cannot afford good/any legal representation.

If NZ does not get back to community thinking instead of this individualism where those who can escape the pain do, and the rest are left to suffer, it's going to become very bad for us all.

And Megan Woods ending low user rates. Sigh. Re-nationalising our electricity supply should be non negotiable.

This is why every voter should be demanding representation are committed to re-nationalisation of electricity supply. As we eventually rely on them for more and more we are going to regret it if we do not. It's all very well that some are able to opt out for personal use, but still it will hit all.

The Infowars news is funny, yes. But more importantly, it is an outright rebuke of Alex Jones' evil.

It's testament to the strength and resilience of the Sandy Hook families who survived this bullshit for more than a decade as well as the Onion, which didn't give up on this for the last 18 months.

Didn’t the red neoliberals get similar levels of support as they backed the RNZ deliberately chucking people out of work for the “good of the economy”? Seems to me there are an awful lot of people who are all good with this crap until it comes for them.
