My two friends who cringe whenever the words "Shane Larkin" is brought up convinced me to email it into Bill.

I emailed in an NBA theory to Bill Simmons so out there that he even thought it too much. I am invincible.

There used to be a Penn chant when losing along the lines of "It's alright. It's okay. We're gonna be your boss someday."

Tremendous stuff. Better than whatever @tydings.bsky.social is doing, but that's a given.

This is the labor of love video. I did this last winter games and nearly broke down. I love doing this cause it’s a fun puzzle despite how hard it is. It’ll get no views but please share it cause I really put in a lot of work. youtu.be/T2HtKD_PTag

We're going to be featuring a lot of Dan's work the rest of this week, but this is one I especially enjoyed and which no one else could have written. He had a lot of those. defector.com/one-last-tri...

I have said before on here that Dan was my first editor in Philadelphia, at the student newspaper we worked at together in the early 2000s.

He was so much more than that.

He was, and remains, one of my journalism idols. He knew it and appreciated it, and compliments from him meant the world.

He's gonna post a 2.25 ERA somewhere other than the Bronx this year. Can feel it in my bones.

Between our Dodgers and Lakers, what a time in LA. I've always said Marcus Smart is the Yoshinobu Yamamoto of basketball.

You are in the house of Elrond. And it is ten o'clock in the morning, on October the 24th, if you want to know.

Absolutely the same. I've always felt the worst way to lose is to have an incompetent bullpen ruin an otherwise good team and have been spoiled by the Yankee bullpens of the last few decades. This has been a frustrating comeuppance.

FYI, FanGraphs has Minor League options near the top of their player pages. They added it within the last few years. Very useful (I looked it up for Doval after his first Yankee appearange lmao)

We were also one point away at RG in the Muchova year, and then we had same half issue at the 2022 US Open. Just awful luck for getting that final.

28 continued: Shelton's injury was unfortunate. Could immediately see how it limited his forehand, leading to a game of just serving and volleying. The disappointment on his face was palpable.
