Strong message from MEP @liandersson.bsky.social at #EUSocialForum "The EU project is more than defence, steel & energy. Our social model must continue to be at the heart of the EU project.... we must not take this model for granted"

We agree 👉 we must invest in social inclusion & #socialrights!

Disappointing that the #EUSocialForum's only panel focusing on the #SocialPillar failed to include voices from civil society or social partners.

Ahead of this year's Action Plan we hope for a meaningful consultation with a wide range of voices to build a stronger #SocialEurope that works for all 📢

The EU's #CompetitivenessCompass makes a lot of promises to businesses in the EU, but it undermines its social fabric. It states that the "foundation of Europe's competitiveness is its people" but people need more than skills and jobs. They need legislation that prioritises wellbeing & social rights

Public procurement should serve people and the planet, not just the lowest price. EPSU joins civil society groups in calling on MEPs to prioritise sustainability, social justice, and transparency in the upcoming reform.

Very interesting conversation today with Social Platform, one of Europe’s largest networks of social NGOs advocating for policies that promote social inclusion and protect the rights of disadvantaged and marginalised groups. Organisations like this are essential to achieve a just transition for all.
