The UK, Canada & Australia are reportedly in talks about potentially banning Twitter/X over Grok’s AI image generation, per The Telegraph.

Ministers believe a joint move would send a “powerful message” to Elon Musk.

To be honest much of my following on the OTHER site was mainly from talking about MHA. Never really fixate on anything else like that so I'm not sure if I can get to the same level on here, but I also want to advertise my book when the time comes.

You can start out small. See what animation projects are being done that you can freelance for and then maybe at some point set it up as a career.

Abolishing ICE is the bare minimum.

We need to dismantle DHS. We need restitution. And we need trials.

The shit in Minneapolis is infuriating. So much wanton chaos and destruction for nothing. Just petty grievances and hate.

Well of Ascension finished. Some great characters but needed better political intrigue and pacing. Zane sucked. Loved Tindwyl. Last 20% is fantastic but come too late. I think it's great as set up but disappointed for sure. Hope Hero of Ages picks up, which I hear it does.

Bayonetta

Absolute blast… that will kick your teeth in unless you’re careful. Most should stick with easy, I had trouble with it. Story’s pretty nonsense but it’s stylish and unapologetically sexy. Something of an artifact, but you can’t get much more high octane than this.

Ghost Protocol

Not the movie that made Cruise’s action career, but it’s what solidified MI as his signature series. Script is pretty straightforward but the action sequences and setpieces are mindblowing even 14 years later. Incredible filmmaking and a perfect reinvention of the series.

Batman: Arkham Shadow

What a reinvigorating experience for this series! VR mechanics are cool. A little rough, but really cool. The way it reinterprets traditional Batman lore with strong writing and a focus on Batman's detective skills make for arguably the best story in the series. Amazing game.

Alex Rider S2

Loved the greater emphasis on action and on location shooting, with a fun reinterpretation of Eagle Strike aside from ONE scene they changed that could've been better. Kyra's chemistry with Alex is great and I love all the character arcs. Truly embodies the spirit of the books.

Undead Unluck

Live a memorable life meeting lots of people so you can never die. Wicked sick.

Great art, fun story, lovable characters. A little rushed towards the end but ends more than respectably. Excellent power system and no arc drags after the first 2 volumes. Big must read!

Alex Rider S1

I read Point Blanc a couple times as a kid and appreciated the tweaks to make this Alex's real first mission. Loved the changes and the semi-realistic approach. Kyra added a lot! Great cinematography, believable teenage writing. Great adaptation and Otto as Alex is perfect casting.

Smallville S3

Darker storylines, expanded action sequences, and even more impressive stuntwork. Episodes can be all over the place but seeing Lionel be such an oppressive antagonist and a vision of Lex's future as Clark's nemesis is fantastic. A shame Pete got shafted. Overall better than S1+2.

Detective Comics by Mariko Tamaki

Nice couple 2.5 arcs. First one is decent, Arkham Tower was great, Riddler mini-arc had some interesting ideas. Not a showstopper but pretty enjoyable Batman fare. Above average, at least.

Creature Commandos S1

For a short prologue to the DCU, it fits a lot of interesting ideas in. Character backstories were awesome, main plot was so-so. Not afraid to show things getting ugly and I really loved the characters. Could've been a bit longer but see the room for S2.

Smallville S2

Myth building and a coherent storyline. LOVE Glover being brought on as a regular to provide some Luthor intimidation and a glimpse at what Lex will become. Not the absolute best of Smallville but a great evolution of S1's formula. The effects work is better than ever too. Good stuff.

Apple stinks because WHY am I getting messages about "this account is already associated with another apple device" over and over and no matter how many times I hit transfer it never goes away

Black Doves S1

Tightly wound political thriller. Nice Christmas surprise with merciless conspiracies in a world of cutthroat corporate-political espionage. Love the cast and (most) of the action scenes. Final episode gets a bit silly but it’s still a great watch. Favorite character is Sam.

The effects work in Smallville is incredible. Some cutting edge stuff on a TV budget, and an amazing mix of practical with CGI.

Can I just say it’s incredibly irresponsible of the LA Times to put their (very detailed and reliable) fire map behind a paywall

Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition

Gorgeous 4K master. Still a beautiful film so many years later, visually AND emotionally. Tolkien's world is captured more perfectly than you can ask for, and I always loved the cheesy horror inspirations Jackson threw in. Brilliant work of art.
