On the bright side, the advertising hoarding made for a good makeshift drum and his cheeseburger with extra bacon for tea was declared the best ever. So there’s that.

We moved to be nearer the drum at the start (Noah’s orders!) and what an atmosphere all game!

Salford (a). First time on a terrace. He’s wanted to go in the standing part for ages and like so many around us, didn’t stop all game.
Joe threw him his gloves at the end of the warm-up, and he’s buzzing about that. But on the pitch we all deserve so much more.

Highlight of the day was the free crown he got with his Burger King meal… a medal might’ve been more appropriate.

At 3-0 he still wanted to stay and took some moving even into injury time.
More care in a 7 year old than anyone on that pitch, in the dugout or the directors box today.
Where have this club’s standards gone? An absolute insult that was today after an horrendous journey.
Cammell Laird for us today. A fully deserved 5-0 win against Market Drayton Town, red card, penalty, some cracking goals, and even a partial floodlight failure at 4-0 (thankfully temporary!) 🐫
