May 2022: I was stranded in Ireland due covid travel restrictions. My hotel had many Ukrainian refugee, just a few months after Russia invaded. I met a boy who wore a t-shirt with US college basketball team logo. He told me he didn’t know the team or sport, but he was happy to have a clean shirt.

I am grateful that my mother and grandmothers taught me how to use a needle and thread. I just hemmed the dress I will wear this weekend. It’s not perfect, but the fabric is forgiving. And it is done.

I just looked at reviving my webpage/blog. It’s a daunting task, updating all the plugins.
