Thank you, Representative Green for your courage to stand alone for what’s right. I’m not your constituent but they are lucky to have you.
Thank you for meeting the moment. Let this be a clarion call for more dems to speak out & resist like you, AOC, & Bernie.
I feel the faintest glimmer of hope.

As book lovers, it feels like Amazon’s everywhere. But it’s NOT inescapable. We need to vote w/ our wallets & stop supporting oligarchy.
This isn’t an exhaustive list but is a good starting point if you’re looking for alternatives to shift your bookish consumption away from Amazon! #BookSky #RESIST
Glad you found it useful! Writing it was therapeutic earlier this month and it’s been nice to feel like I’m doing something, even small.
Amazon is removing the ability to Download & Transfer your Kindle books on February 26, 2025. (Announced after the post was written.)

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.
Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.
Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Happy belated blogiversary, Dini!
Vampires are finally having a bit of a renaissance in publishing. Love & lust are often at the fore of these stories, but it is a twisted love that lacks consent and is rife with exploitation.
This season of love & overconsumption, I’m sharing a list of vampire books. #booksky
#CurrentlyReading GHOST WORLD for graduate school and it’s incredible??? I picked up on media omnipresence, but by far my fave thing so far was our 20 minute psychoanalysis of Enid’s dream and discussion of how important her friendship with Becky is.
The Cheeto in Chief wants to overwhelm everyone with the constant barrage of bullshit. Not even 2 weeks and I am exhausted. Do not succumb to nihilism. Keep on fighting and focus energy locally.
If cultivating a reading habit is on your list of New Years resolutions, I've got the post for you...

Sneaky photo taken during FLOW featuring the cat, bird, and capybara atop a bit of land overlooking a vast sky at dusk
Just spent 90 minutes watching FLOW in theaters. What an absolute delight of a film. Not a single line spoken but such an amazing story told
No notes, 15/10. #KalDoesMovies2k25

HI NICOLE, sorry for disappearing on you and hope you're doing well! I owe you an email... expect one this week!
I am so mad that we didn't get snow at all while I was in the mountains for the holidays. But these pics heal my heart a bit!
LOOK AT THAT HAPPY PUP 😭
I've read 2 books in the last 3 days after literally not reading anything for pleasure for ELEVEN MONTHS.
I feel like myself again and all it took was a 2 week vacation from work & grad school
