IDK man I design with a spreadsheet open on my third monitor and have been known to do nearly six months of private testing before even releasing to public playtest, so maybe my perspective is distorted, but it really isn't that hard to goldfish a few rounds so you can catch basic mistakes

If you're a game designer it can be extremely hard to test your own designs thoroughly - especially if they involve lots of players. That said, if you can't even be bothered to do basic checks on how a system plays before handing it to a player, you're just wasting everyone's time
Was looking up Crucible earlier because I was curious about a game made specifically for a VTT and, criticism aside, I got shown this:
And its really disappointing, sorry, why are you using AI at all here?
Finished comm for @ashandgold.bsky.social - it's been a real treat to paint Graves, since I may or may not be known for painting terrible terrible men ๐
It turns out the Venn diagram of the type of guy who uses Claude to code and the type of guy who thinks "surely *my* heartbreaker TTRPG will be the one that breaks out of obscurity" is closer to a circle than you'd think
Something is deeply wrong with the internet.
An illustration of a small black shorthaired cat with green eyes, sat upright and staring intently at the viewer. The cat is wearing a red necklace with a diamond-shaped golden pendant.
A pale-skinned woman with expertly coiffed black hair and green eyes, looking to the side. She wears a golden tiara, golden earrings, and a red necklace with a diamond-shaped golden pendant.
My character for a Shadow of the Weird Wizard oneshot, and her humansona.
For real though I genuinely think there's common ground here, I love your art style, it's very close to the stuff I'm drawing from (what you've shared is what I imagine it would look like if Leo drew Scavengers Reign) so I'm really excited to see more of this ๐
Far Field is a game in the Lancer setting about scientists and anthropologists exploring the strange and beautiful worlds of the galactic frontier, using the Wild Words engine. Strongly inspired by Star Trek, Scavengers Reign, French sci fi film/comics, and other influences that seem similar here!
System-neutral, huh? I would 100% use this as a setting for a Far Field campaign.
I will say it's nice meeting con attendees and the cosplays are great (shout out to the Lancer fans I've met in previous years), I just feel like there's little reason to go to MCM when UKGE and DragonCon exist
MCM sending out application forms for Industry passes and I'm left wondering whether it's worth bothering given how sparse TTRPG stuff is there these days (zero industry stuff, for example). It's honestly a lot of money and more energy than I can spare to travel for a glorified vinyl figure market
Next Illustration in the works -
I love how the Vlad frame looks. What if it Vladded even harder

Afro-futurism inspired painting of my Lancer Character. Praise the stealth suits.

I laughed so hard during episode one I had to pause because I couldn't breathe, and that happened multiple times. Genuinely setting up to be one of their best seasons if it keeps pace.
I made one of my customary shitposts for the Tagetes #LancerRPG
Seven simplistic figures drawn in a childlike style, as if with crayon. Underneath are the alchemical symbols associated with the seven wizards of the pact.

Thank you! I initially tried one that was much more heavily rendered but I think I'm just not good enough to pull that off yet. Fun to learn though!
Textbook reentry!
A fair-skinned woman with blue eyes, glasses, and long red hair. She is wearing a low cut black dress and a black cat necklace around her neck. Her right hand is raised behind her head and she is smirking at the viewer from below.
New profile pic, a self-portrait! :3
i will say the way people read and engage with stuff online nowadays though is a little unhinged man, i remember when we released a 100+ page lancer setting book and literally about two weeks later people were yapping about the lack of content for the game lol
illustrated art piece of two people on a boat at night, lit by a lantern. The one in front is a blonde man wearing a blue leather coat and a circlet to hold back his hair, and the one next to him is a woman with long dark hair. his expression is somewhat unreadable, and hers looks unsure and concerned.
duo piece me and @kastark.bsky.social worked on together!! ๐๐๐ two fucked up wizards time
Just posted an update to the Lancer: NPCs Rebaked page, today is Wallflower NPCs Rebaked day where you can now get a snazzy pdf and lcp containing revised versions of the NPC classes found in No Room For a Wallflower, the Avenger, Lurker, Spite, and Strider

every single lancer book (every single one!) would be mithral at least on dtrpg (2500+ copies sold), and many of them are adamantine or higher (5000+ copies sold), the core book exceeds that by several, and I mean several, orders of magnitude
I'd be fascinated! I know total account registrations is a statistic with some big limitations but it would be interesting to know
You are 100% correct on the industry obsession with print though
Lancer's distributed by Dark Horse, you can buy a hard copy in Barnes and Noble and it's frequently on sale on Amazon
Fun fact, since this article was written Pilot NET has grown to over 60,000 members
