I seem to remember doing it in Laois growing up?
Granted I was born in Dublin.

Does anyone else start thinking of responsibilities for the week, work meeting tomorrow, bring daughter to Cubs in the evening, pick up some milk from the shop on Thursday etc. Then your brain throws in German test on friday, need to study.
The German test was in 1995!

Tell the truth. You’d have eaten all those pies no matter the date.

Right, so far traced the Tullamore branch to a few generations of “tailors” and ”shoemakers”.
The ”rural” side were farmers from just outside Tullamore than appear in Griffith’s valuation in the 1860s.
And I appear to have corroborated the family legend of a presence on O’Connell St in Easter 1916.

I have one small village in Co. Offaly where generations of my Dad’s side of the family are living. Made it slightly easier to research!

As an Irish person I have sniggered every single time I’ve seen the title to that video.

Just spent almost two hours watching music videos on YouTube. Only needs one slight adjustment to make it perfect.

I support the closure of all datacentres!

I just want people to be impressed by my CD and DVD collections again.

I’m thinking with the clock going forward and the general expectation that this isn’t going to be a vintage season, taping the Japanese Grand Prix and watching whenever I get up is the best option.
As a bonus I’ve an excuse not to look at my phone first thing.

Today I needed to get some work done so I went completely offline. Phone in a different room. Laptop not on the WiFi. CDs instead streaming music.
Got some work done but mostly really appreciating my old CD collection, really came through for me.

Reminds me of being 18, unsure of Dublin geography and I hopped on the 118 thinking it was an 11B.

Helping my daughter with her homework and thanks to having to spell the word “power” I am now singing the themesong to He Man at the top of my voice. She is not impressed. Kids these days.

I remember it being the highest form of insult when I was in primary school. Panicked at the idea of it being applied to me.
