I don’t feel hopeless, I just feel burning rage. I’m mad that ordinary people have to put their lives on the line to protect their neighbors against ICE. The people in power could stop this at any time.

Abolish ICE, prosecute and imprison its leaders, impeach and remove the President from office. This is the only sane reaction to a group of armed men kidnapping and gunning down our neighbors in the street.

That particular distro of Linux is actually pretty easy to set up and use, but I'll agree that it's still wildly inappropriate to just suggest switching operating systems out of the blue when all this person wants is log-in help. Especially someone that's using said computer for their livelihood.
