Yeah, the issue wasn’t that he missed the fake bomb but that he caused all the commuter chaos for no good reason. Bad job, River.

I *think* the idea is that he was supposed to catch the fake bomber, but screwed up (because he was set up) and the evacuation and all that was part of the mistake. Like, all that wasn’t supposed to happen.

First season? He was supposed to be looking for a guy in blue shirt/white sweater but was told white shirt/blue sweater so he stopped the wrong suspect. Or something like that.
