Thank you!!!

one inescapable truth of modern science conduct is that if you're a researcher then you're a software engineer.
but if you make the most out of it, it can make you a better researcher.
just had to get some stuff out of the system and into yours 🫶

Always fascinated by the number of people we can reach these days 😯
Big shout-out to everyone involved in and supporting the project, we could not do this without you! ♥️
I hope that in the future we can expand on the classroom approach: streamed workshop with local support; best of both worlds!
Aalto University’s new Scientific Computing Skills course brings together existing training offered by Aalto, CSC and collaborative initiatives like CodeRefinery and packs them into a coherent and useful whole.
CSC is working with lecturers and professors across Finnish HEIs to ensure that students can integrate CSC trainings into their study plans and earn credits. 🎓 The goal is to replicate the model now in use with @aalto.fi at other institutions 🔗 csc.fi/en/blog/cscs... @coderefinery.org
CSC Ambassadors Meetup brought 40 ambassadors and 20 CSC experts together in Espoo to share insights and tackle common research support challenges. Stronger networks, clearer guidance on data, HPC & training, plus new joint actions ahead. 🤝 Read the blog post 🔗 csc.fi/en/news/amba...

Purple Nordic-RSE text under half a snowflake in pixel style surrounded by the sentence "happy international RSE day".
🎉 Happy international RSE day from the Nordics!
We have got some exciting events brewing for the future, including the Nordic Basic Scientific Computing days (No BS Computing) in Otaniemi, FI, in February and the 3rd Nordic-RSE conference in Tromsø, NO in June.
An array of 9 purple discs on a blue background. Figure from Hinnerk Schulz-Hildebrandt.
A nice shift in perceived colour between central and peripheral vision. The fixated disc looks purple while the others look blue.
The effect presumably comes from the absence of S-cones in the fovea.

Well deserved ! 👏
