They are really peaceful little beings. They are much loved and taken care of by my son. Of course, wild isopods are always cherished by him in the garden, as well.

I never thought I'd have isopods in my house. Our colony is LARGE. Then again, I never thought we'd have fungal samples, spores, and colonies of microbes, either. 🤣

Sample day in our fam often means I'm full-on, balancing at water's edge of a pond as my son shouts directions at me. I prefer the times when he collects his own samples! Boy, would he love to get some marine samples....or take his microscope ocean-side!
