This tiny, half-centimeter wide, heart-shaped reproductive part of a type of beard lichen looks like it has sea-green rays bursting off of it, amidst a tangle of the sea-green beard lichen itself. The heart has a few tiny dew drops on it. This was all on a big branch that fell out of a tree during some hailstorms this week.

The chocolate tube slime mold are better in focus in this shot in the top right quadrant. Another group of the bright yellow slime mold is also visible peeking through the cracked wood in the top left quadrant. There are a few sporadic couples and small groupings of that appear to be 2 different species of slime mold in the bottom left quadrant. Note the tiny white fungi just to the right of the massive yellow grouping of slime mold. Of course there is also the gilled bonnet fungi in the center left. And tons of disco fungi on the lower half of the wood. I'm probably missing a few things but there is just too much to describe. A composite of 28 pictures were used to create this singular focus stacked image.

In addition to the static fungi there is also a tiny beetle present on the large mass of slime mold. An any is also present in the center of the shot hanging from the ceiling of the crack that might be difficult to spot in the darkness. Another insect is in the center right on the lower portion of the cut wood. As in the first shot there are near countless Linopodes white mites with crazy arms seem throughout the crack and even on the bonnet fungi. A composite of 25 manually focused sequential pictures were used in the creation of this focus stacked image.

At Bawburgh on Thursday but I dismissed it as Septoria aegopodii until @norwichbirder.bsky.social noticed the distinct galls. Found again today at East Carleton.

A beautiful shiny orange mushroom emerges from wet dark brown soil. Its smooth yellow stipe slants out of the earth at about a 45° angle to the right before turning straight up beneath the cap. I'm unsure of the species of this cute orange mushroom, but I believe it's a type of Gliophorus. It might even be Gliophorus psittacinus (which iNat also suggests)

どちらにせよこの頂孔アミロイドが視れただけで嬉しくなりますよね？ ｗ
でも、それが視れたら満足してしまって胞子の計測や子嚢の計測などを怠るという失態。まぁ、そんなもんです。
あと同じPezizaでも頂孔アミロイドでないやつもあるので、ここは種の分かれ目ではないのですね。
