Growing out of thick, mycelium-covered fir tree duff, a young Amanita muscaria stands in perfect light. This young mushroom hasn't fully developed. The cap is still connected to the stipe. The bulbous, egg-like base of the mushroom is white and light yellow and roughly textured. A small thin strip of the white stipe, which will likely grow to be six to ten inches tall, is visible. Something, likely a slug, munched this Amanita muscaria, leaving a hole in its growing cap. Clearly the springtails saw an opportunity to take advantage of the slug's leftovers

昨日はやっと時間がとれたので強風と雨のなかアミガサタケ探しに。定点観察場所が昨年からことごとく出なくなってしまったので新規開拓です。あちこち当たりつけて動き回った甲斐あって、イエローモレル沢山見られました。乾燥してないので状態が良いのも嬉しかった！

depois de um período de chuvas esses pequeninos aparecem num banco velho de madeira que fica do lado de fora de casa. com o clima seco eles somem, mas sempre reaparecem com as chuvas.

Close-up of the pustules or the "dots" on the thallus of Flavoparmelia lichen. They appear mostly as pale (compared to the thallus themselves) dots where some look like they are bursting. They grow along the ridges of the convoluted thallus.
