As a supporter of @TottenhamHotspur.com for the last 15+ years, I desperately hope they do not hire Roberto De Zerbi. He has a history of supporting the character of players credibly accused of sexual abuse. Spurs need all the good vibes we can get now and De Zerbi isn’t going to bring that. 1/3

There’s so much good coverage of women’s soccer and the Spirit, but @xowngoals.com has done the best explanation of why the League’s proposed rule sucks and I’m glad the @nwslplayers.bsky.social is fighting it. Pay Trin and let all the teams pay their players more in the way that’s best for them.
Teams like the @washingtonspirit.com should be allowed to decide who they want to pay and how much, not just be allowed to pick one of the 29 NWSL players that meet the new criteria. I want the Spirit to be able to pay #TrinityRodman what she’s worth, but in the right way.
Really disappointed that the @nwslsoccer.com can’t get out of their own way and have the #RodmanRule be an increase in the @nwslbot.bsky.social salary cap instead of making up a stupid, bureaucratic, and subjective limit on the number of players who can get paid more.

Watching the video of his touches I was struck by how many times he passes and then just stops his movement ball watched rather than getting into an optimal position. Worst was at 5:23 when he could have moved into the box to give Udogie an outlet instead of shooting from a right angle.
7/10 for quality of signings
4/10 for the timing and challenges it creates for development of younger players
I would have preferred that we don’t sign Tel if we were going to sign RKM and to instead bring in a better passing #6 (for games where we will have more of the ball)
I’m really hoping that these rumors are from agents trying to get interest in their clients and not real ITK. I’d prefer quiet, behind the scenes negotiations for good, undervalued players that actually meet our needs, not just jumping on the bandwagon of who’s in the news.
