He comes before every Congressional committee with his “How dare you question me, peasant! *I* am a Kennedy” attitude.

He is just such an unpleasant piece of work

Just deeply deeply nasty

The world is on fire. Oligarchs are breaking everything, and people are justifiably scared, and being happy about a genre award nomination may feel frivolous or not allowed. But we NEED frivolity to survive all the bad things. Be joyous. You EARNED this.

RFK Jr has the gall, the temerity, to criticise someone else’s spending voice?
That is pretty remarkable!
From a man who sounds as if the spirits of Kennedys long death are trying to throttle him to prevent him bringing greater shame on the family name

As though his own larynx recoils at his lies…

Dastmalchian as Gurathin—text reads: you want me to come out of my cage AND be doing just fine?? in this economy???

the first thing I watched Alex Skarsgård in was (other than his cameos in What We Do in the Shadows and Zoolander) Murderbot on AppleTV—and he knocks that one out of the park

(Though my heart will always belong to Gurathin… )

Plant Your Pants 2026 Plant Your Pants is back and this year we're all about getting our hands in the soil!  Will you join us on our mission to get as many children's (and adults!) hands in the soil as possible this spring...

Due to reading this fact yesterday and then going to a meeting at an infant school to help organise a “sustainability week” I have now absolutely cemented the idea that I know a lot of weird shit (which is true, but 🤷‍♀️)
They are doing “Plant your pants”

Pregnancy vaccine reduces baby hospital admissions for RSV by 80% A study confirms the vaccine gives excellent protection for babies against life-threatening chest infections.

🤣🤣🤣

But genuinely: I was really puzzled by this from @ema.europa.eu

“No RSV #vaccine yet for children in the EU, but options exist.”

…when the big news is how FANTASTIC the recent results from the maternal vaccination programme are!

Who amongst us can say that we've never buried the lede?
I mean, it was totally the lede's fault for getting in the way while I was operating the back-hoe.

Their website—scroll to the bottom to find:

Hospitalisation due to lung complications from RSV infection has reduced by more than 80% in infants younger than 3 months whose mothers were vaccinated during pregnancy, compared with infants of unvaccinated mothers. This is based on a study carried out in the UK, between August 2024 and March 2025.
Vaccination lowered the risk of hospitalisation for lung complications in infants in their first 6 months of life by more than 70%. This is according to a real-world study from Argentina carried out during the 2024 P season. Argentina is [covered] roll out RSV vaccination during pregnancy.

Seems weird that you have to scroll right to the bottom to find that:

***RSV in pregnancy can reduce hospitalisation in babies by ~80%***

I’d lead with that?

I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to speak my mind, to state what I believe even when it's directly at odds with billionaire power. I'm among the minority allowed to do it. But it's not a privilege. It's a right. And everyone should possess it.

A central island with kitchen behind:
There is a LOT going on—central is an octopus candlestick, a vase of pussy Willow and flags (Pride and Ace are visible there are also others)
There are skull measuring cups a and an octopus fruit bowl (glass bowl held up silver tentacles) full of fruit behind you can see the tiles over the over which are yellow with white letter tiles (IPMS)
There are shelves on the walls also full of stuff and lit with fairy lights (white ones, shockingly)
There is much going on—much of it brightly coloured
Most of the bunting is not in shot, but a flag is visible hinting at the existence

Me in an Elsie* style dress, the pattern is white flowers on a green background with black leaves and yellow centres to the flowers
*This soft and flattering dress creates an hourglass silhouette with its feminine draping and wrap-around design. The plunging V-neckline and cinched waist draw the eye inward, while gentle gathering and a cascade of flares accentuate the hips. Finished with a slim, asymmetrical hemline that falls just below the knee.

Me bending forwards to get a picture in the mirror with the back door behind me
Wearing my cherry patterned dress and cherry necklace and earrings which you can see in the photo
Behind me is the back door with its yellow curtain swept to one side (acting as a frame to the right of the image) there is a red door mat and a red pair of crocs on the mat. The floor is wooden.
The doorway behind me has yellow edging which acts as another frame and the doorway behind itself has a glass panel to the outside showing red brick work, I am framed by the edges of the mirror (wood) and around the mirror you can see the white of the wall it is propped against and to one side a rainbow striped broom propped up at an angle
Around the mirror you can see (to the right) the entry to the snug offering another set of lines
It’s a bit mis en abyme with all the frames

20th April 2026

It’s a Monday morning, the sun is shining and the skies are blue—I can hear birdsong
High of 13 degrees forecast so I’m sadly in tights rather than bare legs today…or shall I risk it?
Hmmmmm…

It's the lycra basically. But in general plastic(nylone, polyester etc) reverts. It wants to go back to being oil. It's a HUGE issue for fabric archivists. Whereas natural fibers (cotton, wool etc) degrade. As long as you avoid sunlight and oxygen you're ok.
