Fantastic evening at Nailsea Tithe Barn exploring the story of the writing of Amazing Grace, slavery and abolition as part of #BlackHistoryMonth. The performance of ‘Grace Will Lead Us Home’ is both beautiful and thought provoking.

Fantastic day working with great TPLT colleagues at Burnham Infant School and Berrow Little Learners Preschool. A joy to see effective Cold Calling with 2 and 3 year olds! Children miming putting on their thinking caps for thinking time is such a wonderful adaptation.

Young people say they'd elect a 'strong leader'. I say give more of them the vote | Polly Toynbee Given what gen Z have been through, it’s no wonder they’re not impressed by democracy. But giving them a real stake in it could change everything, says Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee

Just as we said in our @oracycommission.bsky.social report, the case for citizenship education has never been more urgent. Well said, @pollytoynbee.bsky.social: www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... #oracy

“We have spent the last 8 years sorting out curriculum content. It’s time to focus on the other two elements of the curriculum triumvirate, pedagogy and assessment.”

An interesting piece from @johntomsett.bsky.social. I will definitely check out the films from @steplab.bsky.social.
