I’m really surprised if anybody is suggesting that teachers can also be therapists at the same time. That’s said, we can all learn to work more therapeutically which benefits children and adult adults alike.

Thank-you for sharing this challenging research Lucy. As education becomes increasingly evidence-informed, our R(S)HE/PSHE provision needs to be more effective in using approaches that are more likely to improve the learning and life chances of children and young people.

I sympathise and agree entirely Debra, a simple ruling is not enough, we need a sea change in public opinion, which needs to start with Education.

This is not an interpretation that respects the rights of everyone. Those of us with transgender children are now being asked questions like 'why does the whole world hate us' and 'am I going to be beaten up if I try to go to the toilet?' and 'do you think someone will hate me enough to kill me?'

I doubt we will see clear guidance anytime soon. Instead we will have 100 schools implementing 100 different responses. It will be a mess of court cases and appeals for months or years.

In the meantime young people will suffer being political footballs for adults fighting.

Influencers fuelling misogyny in schools, teachers say Almost three in five teachers believe social media use has had a negative effect on behaviour in schools, according to a union poll.

The importance of #RSHE #PSHE to keep pupils safe and improve learning should not be underestimated - especially when teachers do not feel adequately trained to address these societal challenges: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

We must help mainstream schools support more pupils with SEND Giving schools more opportunities to act early when supporting children’s needs could deliver huge improvements, says Pepe Di’Iasio

We desperately need change-Leaders are stuck in a system where funding is only unlocked after an EHCP is secured. Its a system designed for conflict.Parents forced to battle schools.Schools forced to ration support And the children at the heart of it? They’re left waiting. www.tes.com/magazine/ana...
