We've reached the "Is that AI?" phase of my 85 year old mom's journey through technology. The cell loses it's connection: Is that AI? The website displays a Captcha: Is that AI? And all I can honestly say in response: Is AI causing all these problems? Probably, Mom. Probably.
Same for me, but with my 85 year old mom who asked, "Will you watch some Mel Brooks movies with me?" Heck yeah!

It is such an honor for my fellow neighbors to be recognized in this way. I will always be proud of how we all stood up, in whatever way we could, to stop injustice. But, honor or not, we didn't do it for recognition. We did it because it was the right thing to do.

Influenza A is no joke folks. I'm still dealing with symptoms, although the fever broke more than a week ago. I'm thinking either it's still inflammation or perhaps I managed to catch a cold on top of the tail end of the flu. Either way it's been 15 days of hell. Get yer flu shot! And some Dayquil.

Nothing better than having aging parents that think they're still independent (one is not, one is "mostly") and calling them to find out they've been in the ER all day but didn't call because "You said you were busy today." SMH

Remembering Christmas Eves past, filled with wonder and joy and much loved relatives that have passed on. Grateful today to have my dad coming to a rehab closer to home after a long two months in recovery after two strokes in November. Mom and I are relieved to have him near us again. Home soon!

Rob Reiner changed my young life by playing "Meathead" on All In The Family. That character shaped who I wanted to be when I grew up. Did I want to be the type of person who only cared about myself, or did I want to be someone who genuinely cared about others? I chose the latter. Thank you Rob.
I also just lost my cat of 13 years. They hide their illness until they can't. That makes it even harder to process. You have my sympathy.
