I have yet to play them but I do plan to play Drakengard 1 & 3 at some point!! since I’m very invested in nier and the Yokoverse so I can let you know how that goes 😄

@cantercuse.bsky.social also want to add it does kill me seeing people jokingly (or maybe not jokingly lool) recommending Drakengard first cause setting and tone wise, it’s completely different from the other 2 and less casual-friendly for people just getting into Nier so it’s really funny

Completely fine to start with Automata first! That’s how I got into the series and how many others did lol
Some people suggest Nier Replicant first since it is the prequel to Automata, and certain things in automata will make more sense (or hit harder emotionally😭) if you’ve played replicant first
