After almost a month of nothing, I'm finishing up the chapter leading into the climax of Edge of the Storm. I find myself rethinking scenes as I go along, and there's a hell of a lot of "OOO YEAH THIS SHIT GON' BE GOOD" in there.

This is reminding me why I love writing these goofy books. 😀

Always a trip when you change a minor part of a scene and immediately think "OH NO, HOW WILL OUR INTREPID HEROES ESCAPE THIS DISASTER?!" So much fun hahah.

REALLY excited about the last few chapters now.

Thinking it'll top out at about 140-145,000 words total.

Couldn't even watch a bloody Netflix show to pass the time...thank the gods for books.

Every time it happens, I'm always and inevitably amazed by how much we (I) rely on internet service for day-to-day tasks. My ISP went down this morning and JUST come back on—so I've been pretty much unable to accomplish anything work-related.

Good lord this is 6 years old now, but I still love how this little gnome fighter came out.

My understanding is that publishing rates for illustration largely hasn’t changed in 100 years.

I don’t mean that it kept up with inflation, I mean that after the camera came along the rates did not increase over the next 100 years. And those were the GOOD jobs. Many places paid less.
