I absolutely believe your assessment. My employer was strictly psychosocial disability supports, so a different set of professional skills. But was (rightly) very strict with minimum qualifications required for any support role.

About 6 years ago I worked for a large, very reputable, exceptionally good NFP org offering services in the NDIS space. Only last year did I learn that NDIS registration is *not a requirement* for service providers to seek payment for NDIS services. Could have knocked me down with a feather.
