Hahaha — yes! 😜
Touché! 😁🙃 Does this mean I have to forfeit the trophy? 😜
Thank you!!
And apologies for the NWQ instead of NQW! Dyslexic fingers! 😂
Thank you! I’ll keep you posted!
Overall winner badge for the Not Quite Write Prize for FLESH fiction awarded to Jayne Rice for the story As They Like It.
SHOCK, as I didn’t hope to win.
JOY, as I actually did!!
Thank you @notquitewrite.com for an amazing #FLESHfiction contest that took me well out of my comfort zone! (So far out I chose the pen name Hester Prymme. 😅) So many wonderful stories, so many talented writers. ♥️ Check out the NWQ podcast!
Thank you so much, Elise! ✨🏆✨ As I’m grappling with finishing a trilogy right now (the Wild Magic series), I’m keen to write a standalone next. I would love that story to be about them! 💖
Fantastic competition! So many great stories! It was huge fun taking part!
Brilliant comp — so many amazing stories! Each episode was an absolute treat! 🎉♥️🎉
What an amazing comp — so many fabulous stories that I honestly didn’t think my story stood much of a chance!
Crafted stories, mood music, sound effects, and two brave narrators. Each episode was a treat!
Spooky as I rewatched Inception last night. Seemed an appropriate way to cap off a birthday that included the Oxford Illusion Museum!
That story did feel like a midpoint scene to me! I would love to write a novella about Rosalind and Forest after I finish the trilogy I’m working on. 🤩
I did!
Thank you for the shout-out in the episode for my story, Elise! You made my day! 🤩
Yes, I was! 🥳 Can’t wait!
I was in the audience at Hay. Fab session!
Excited to attend this public lecture!
This conference was promoted at the Oxford Literary Festival today and I’ve applied! What a fantastic opportunity!

I was very invested in B1 and the shocking event near its conclusion (no spoilers!) and the fallout from it gets B2 off the ground quickly. Cassandra Clare is fab at writing the guarded interplay between characters in this richly imagined world.
Good line! 👍
Love the position of the red circle. Looks like a devilish halo over your head, @jolyons.bsky.social ! Haha 😉
It was only a matter of time! Fab that it all happened through the #romanticnovelistsassociation 🤩
@boldwoodbooks.bsky.social knows talent when it sees it! ✨
