Station eleven for a post pandemic story. Anything agatha christie for mystery. For horror, just DON'T read night film. People highly recommend it and it is boring.

Regular movie tickets are $16. Imax is $25. Regal unlimited is $25. The minute I have a movie I want to see I just reactivate unlimited and make it a movie month ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™€๏ธ

Yeah, this is why I get regal unlimited when I'm reading to see something. Once you see two movies it's paid for itself for the month.

I'm trying to understand how some % of that generation seemingly didn't learn the basic tenants of friendship, which is hanging out and doing, or not doing, random shit. So much so that it needed a label and a trend...

There's this bizarre phenomena where gen z will put a label on something that has existed forever and be credited as the creators of that thing. The latest, and most absurd, is terming being friends as "soft socializing."

No mention of spy x family that I could see in the quotes, but it's got mystery, action, fledgling romance and a heartwarming found family story. Highly recommend.

I think similar to star trek you can start with any series, but some things will get spoiled for you because there will be flashbacks to the events in the other series that came before. So if you don't mind that, then just choose the one that sounds most interesting. Otherwise I'd say go in order!

Extra terrible, but the Stargate series are better ๐Ÿ˜ญ I'd still say you can skip watching them though. Mostly just drama in the sky

The purpose of all of this is to inflict irreparable harm on POC

Literally ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ and they had to get rid of so much stuff too. Multiple treatments on their place. I just can't take the thought of it lol

I understand it isn't common but knowing two people close to me got bed bugs from second hand furniture and said they were 3 headaches to get rid of.... Strikes such a fear in me

I have such a desire to buy cute little comfortable vintage chairs but have a deep fear of bringing bed bugs into my house

The results of the Women's and Men's Final Four games were similar in that one team lost by double digits and the other by single digits.

The average loss margin on the Men's side was larger than the Women's, but it was the latter that wasn't a great showcase?

Man I'm lucky I even checked their Instagram. I'm not about to rush out to be there late!

Houston is up there. Jacksonville the city sucks but the people are great. But my worst city is probably LA.

They made an announcement 13 hours ago that service would be moved 2 hours earlier, so I guess they won't be seeing me this Easter Sunday ๐Ÿ˜

The amount of people who say "Kanye apologized." 1) the apology was mediocre at best and 2) how is it your place to accept that apology?

I dunno who needs to hear this, but in the fight against white supremacy, you don't get to excuse someone's hatred and bigotry because it doesn't impact you personally....or because you like their shitty music.

It doesn't work like that.

It does make me wonder if I should've started with the broken earth trilogy that is more beloved. But its premise didn't really call to me. We shall see we shall see.

Picked up my first NK Jemisin book, and I can't say I'm completely taken with her writing as of yet. I'm a third of the way through the hundred thousand kingdoms and neither the plot or characters have really captured me. It does read incredibly quickly though? Which is itself a plus in a way.

Ironically, eating whole foods, having a clean place, and seeing people are all great for my mental so the problem really exacerbates itself ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Less skincare, place getting messy, and less cooking at home. Oh, and I stop making plans with people.

I'm curious about the idea that people expected her to be a mammy. How would you characterize that?

But to my comment, being humble โ‰  not being assertive. You can absolutely stand up for yourself and be a leader while having humility.

I do believe there is really no ethical way to exist under capitalism at all. But we can try a little. And thereโ€™s beauty and decency in the trying. I wonโ€™t watch a frame of this bigot ladyโ€™s stuff if I can help it.

If you simply love being immersed in the Harry Potter universe, there are tens of millions of words of HP fanfic out there that are better written, smarter, and more emotionally engaging than anything JKR has ever done.

It's interesting to me that to this day Harris, from what I've heard, doesn't acknowledge where she misstepped with many people.

I don't deny that women are told to quiet themselves and be smaller. But I also don't deny that all politicians could suffer some humility.

You know what's interesting is that to be humble is to accept that you're fallible and that you make mistakes. This is, undeniably, one of the biggest criticisms I've seen of Harris and most politicians. That they won't acknowledge when they've misstepped.
