Sorry for the late reply. While there is still some stuff I appreciate about the film I can generally accept that its rep as a dumpster fire is pretty accurate. Great song though.

In the last few days I’ve learned this trilogy was a deep-seated core memory for a lot of folks. I watched at least the first two when they premiered.

Same here. I remember it airing in two parts, one night after another and I was staying over at my grandparents and convinced them to let me stay up both nights. Simpler times.
