This person (Vávra) is honestly a horrible human being and super anti-LGBTQ btw (most of his Twitter posts are in Czech and reading them makes my eyes bleed). The whole gay scene probably flew under the radar and was unnoticed by him bcs he would never allow such a thing to happen in his game.

Honestly, I hate this about modern games. I got really mad at new GTA games bcs the old ones just gave you an objective and it was totally up to you how you want to achieve it. New ones feels more like interactive movies where even the slightest deviation from the predefined path is BIG BAD.

She is kinda right tho. Just turn off the internet and enjoy the game. It's made to be enjoyed not to be beaten as fast as possible or make u sit in a decision paralysis bcs you want to make only the best possible decisions. It's an RPG. It's in the name. Just play it that way.

I don’t think it is just Americans and French. Just going out in the country I live in and I feel like most people never learned how to behave in general. Not tourists but locals. Seems like they were raised by a bunch of monkeys and pigs. No manners but definitely a lot of main character syndrome.

I am surprised. I tried @kdenlive.bsky.social as a hardcore Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve user.

KdenLive is amazing. I found it to be super feature rich and even better than Premiere Pro. Still missing many DaVinci things but that is kinda expected.

The only downside is super slow GPU export.

Managed to totally ditch them before the AI boom.
You probably already know but just in case, there are some great free alternatives.

One thing I love about Linux is how calm the experience is.

You don’t have to constantly fight your OS, you are not bombarded by notifications, updates, sales BS, nor forced to get rid of software you never asked for.

You just turn on your computer and you do stuff you want to do. It’s that easy.

I switched to Linux about a year ago. So far there was only a single instance where I needed to boot into windows again. In a year. Due to nvidia driver bug that is fixed for a long time now.

I will probably nuke my Windows install and reuse the drive it is installed on for something more useful.

I mean… did Meta even released anything “Metaverse” related? I mean, there is Horizons but I always saw it as an alpha version of some vision or concept more than anything else. Definitely not a finished product, not even remotely close to anything more than a beta really. It was horrendous.

Basically what overwhelming majority of investors do. Investing into anything that is “hot” right now without even a high-level knowledge of what they are actually investing into.

Bottles won’t solve anything either due to how buggy they are and the fact that creative software without GPU acceleration is literally unusable.

I see only two possible solutions. FOSS that will closely mimic other tools both feature and UI wise OR these tools being released as native for Linux.

I think that the biggest issue with adopting Linux is the lack of pro software. Yes, alternatives exists BUT people do not want alternatives. They don’t want to learn DaVinci or Kden when they created their entire workflow in Premiere. Same with any software really. ->
