What makes Esports special is the combination of intellectual benefit & real world experience.
In Esports, students game while synchronously communicating in person within an inclusive community!
The evidence is clear, Esports are good for students!

Video game use is associated with increased cognitive & intellectual functioning such as improved working memory, response inhibition, & even school competence.
Studies have also found that playing video games cooperatively support cooperation outside of games!
