I don't know how big my housing agency's property portfolio is but it's not small, so there's no way I'm the only vulnerable tenant on their books (although perhaps somehow bizarrely I am, since they always sound so baffled and surprised when I mention it??).
I have had more positive experiences, one engineer (they send engineers all the time) cheerfully explained that he'd had to go and buy a box of masks. But all that told me is that it isn't the contractor's policy to even have PPE, when it should be. I doubt today's guy was even informed.
Aw thanks, it's fine, used to it, just venting! I'll leave a damning Trustpilot review when I eventually move out.
Context: this is the landlord/social housing agency's annual gas safety check, their own contracted staff.
To be clear, I'm as nice as I can be. Like, "I get some people don't want to wear a mask, I will wear one myself regardless, but as an immune-suppressed person, I ask. Sometimes engineers feel awkward meeting me at the door wearing one when they've not been told." This guy? Couldn't give a fuck. 😂
Agency woman on the phone sounded shocked when I asked if the gas engineer could wear a mask and mentioned that sometimes they haven't previously (there was actual silence on the line as she was obviously aware of call being recorded). Now of course they guy's turned up and no fucking mask, ha.
This was so good.
A puppeteer dressed in red is onstage manipulating the marionette Pink Cat (a tall pink cat with beautiful big eyes, a pink handkerchief and pink high heels), Pink Cat is leaning their head back while stamping a foot in time to the backing music.
Watching the Bob Baker Marionettes on the Coachella Youtube channel. What a time to be alive.

Ha ha, no I had not
(But perhaps something they should consider adding as a normal regular thing.)
This site keeps dealing me the forbidden feed (not as exciting as it sounds).

Perfect for embarassing me if my neighbours heard me in the hallway saying "That's not your doormat, Mr Pickles!!" 😂
Okay, a neighbour is sunbathing out there now so I'm sure Mr. Pickles has help if he needs it.
A picture of a disinguished elder cat called Mr. Pickles. He is black with a white chest and legs, some white hairs amongst the black showing his age. He is sat on the corner of a low garden border wall, behind a flower bed with some green foliage and small indigo-coloured flowers.
Since you insist, here is a picture of Mr. Pickles.
Met a nice old cat called Mr. Pickles, he really wanted to come into our block so I let him in but then it was clear he didn't have a destination, was scratching his claws on the doormats of strangers etc so carried him back outside. Now I'm worried about Mr. Pickles. Mr. Pickles seems a needy gent.
Nooooo
Well done for going! I ran out of toothpaste today, but, yeah, gonna have to wait until tomorrow.
Relatable post.
I do worry about my two similar bookcases falling and killing me or someone else, but I think they're hopefully okay because of where they're positioned. You could get a bracket or something to screw the top to the wall, if you are worried.
I started doing that in lockdown, but don't think I got further than S2 Ep 3. Got a bit confusing & distressing with the different actors!
I am definitely hoping for something a bit different but still BOC. Ska punk rap rock admittedly hadn't entered my mind, but sure, I'm in. I think 100 Gecs were a bit too soon to really ride that wave, but maybe BOC will nail it & take it to the stadiums
I think the Artemis II mission going so smoothly has given me some sort of belated closure for the horror of seeing the Challenger disaster on TV when I was 8.
Okay this is better than my "what if it landed on Trump in a freak accident" joke

According to the OED website, "untense" has "about 0.02 occurrences per million words in modern written English". It is kind of the right word though!
