Can confirm that cats getting under the brake pedal, or sticking their head though the steering wheel is a major road safety concern!
I drove one (good traveller) cat a long way (ten hour sections) in a 'small dog' sized carrier. The best fun she ever had!
Found the film unexpectedly on BBC4 last night!
He was roughly acceptable, though his 'excuse' that it was okay to keep this 'developed vetting fail' secret because of 'privacy concerns' wasn't entirely convincing.
Jill has to be in the frame!
He is a proper Tom, and even if he is neutered he'll still have that wonderful face!
Funny. I did think, while watching, whether Louis Theroux would have handled it differently/better.
But @lynmarbo.bsky.social made the point that Grayson was asking the questions which 'the ordinary man' wanted answered, and that's not what Theroux does.
Spain, and arguably China, have simply refused to take Trump seriously from the start of his second term. They will be perceived as the intelligent countries before long.
Okay, you're validating the choice of Grayson as interviewer, and you've made a good argument. We will see how it develops in future episodes.
So she got a text from Den? I'm gong to have to listen again to make any sense out of this, I'd thought it was from a boyfriend hopefully not ex. (Thanks!) #TheArchers
Sorry - Carol, not Christine! #TheArchers
I foresee an imminent funeral, will it be Bert, Oliver, Christine or Brian who hits the winning post first? #TheArchers
Oh please fill me in on Chelsea's amour! I was listening and couldn't bring to mind any previously introduced character who could fit the bill.
I dunno about that - it was very weird, but it (IMO) opened a thought process about the recent(?) fascination concerning 'religion' within the government supported AI proponents - (antichrists etc.) I haven't processed this aspect yet.
Agree that the first interview with the woman should have hit the cutting room floor.
I do see what you're getting at, and (though I think Grayson Perry is pretty sound), using him as a 'front man' perhaps trivialises the discussion.
But this is programme one of ?, so maybe it will develop into diving deeper. Even prog 1 raised quite a few issues worthy of deep thought.
Chinese decorated chest, with one of the pair of doors ajar, and inside the chest is a long haired white cat looking very beautiful and slightly sheepish.
Sad night, it will be the first which I have spent without my wonderful Featherpuss.
Here is a pic of her, peeking out from a cupboard, and I liked the doorway through which I will remember her passing into her afterlife.
When governments make it obligatory for a person to pay (a tech giant) to function or even exist as a member of society we have a problem.
Well yes, what you say is very relevant. But it's also a sucker punch - the consumer is drawn in by all the 'free' stuff which 'the internet' used as bait; now whether Google's 'do no harm' was simply click bait, or forward thinking price gouging will remain a mystery ...
Vance Packard wrote a book in 1960, called The Waste Makers. It was about built in obsolescence, and the then new concept of consumerism, and it has remained 'my guiding light".
It's becomes more relevant every decade.
Indeed. The consumer IT inflation (memorably named enshittification) is quite unmeasured. A 'modern' computer/phone/tablet is unexpectedly short on memory because 'everybody uses the cloud'.
I'm fascinated by the commentary which was persuading me that if Orban lost he wouldn't accept a defeat.
Where was that coming from?
I'm very happy that Orban lost, and very pleased that he tempestuously conceded defeat.
What I'm puzzled by is how many commentators 'warned me' that Orban would try to hang on to power.
Why were they wrong?
It's interesting that you go back to the 1990s - when I read the list of 'scams' and saw car dealerships included I thought well, they've been well dodgy since the 1970s.
Oh goodness - another crime at Brian's door!
Is she really? I can't recall when (or where) she came from, just that she was living with Peggy when Kate was staying there.
In the UK there is no requirement for a bicycle to be fitted with any kind of bell.
Ah right, I swear my cats can read barcodes on cat food, and if it reads 'cheap' they won't eat it.
"How much consideration did you give to shocking pink velour on a melon coloured lavatory, mum?"
Speeding driver takes out Lynda? (Too much to hope for) #TheArchers
