A side shot of my printed Rocket locomotive, it is printed in black with a brown 'wooden' boiler. It does not currently have extra details like pipes or a buffer beam as these will be added to the final body. It is also using some temporary green drive wheels because I want to save the black ones for final assembly. As to not wear out the bushings of the wheels from constant removal. The trailing wheelset on the locomotive are made from plastic as finding wheels of the correct size was a nightmare. Fortunately I will wire the locomotive to pick up power from the tender. The tender is in all brown with standard rolling stock metal wheels.
A shot to include more of the front of the locomotive, with a little glimpse at the smokebox cover.
A better angle on the locomotive from the top, representing the bulkhead at the back of the firebox and the cab floorplate.
The Rocket with a small coreless motor, with a worm gear attached, sat in front view of the camera. This motor will be put into the motor when it is time to wire it up.
Here's some progress on my #3Dprinted Rocket locomotive. The bodyshell has been done but Its still got issues and I'm not happy with it, so I'm going to reprint it. Once that's done I can focus on wiring it up and it should run (fingers crossed). #modelrailway #00gauge
Hang in there :)
3D render of my printable Stephenson's Rocket model. The boiler, tailing wheelset and drive wheels are all coloured in a brown livery. Rendered in Blender.
The same render of the Rocket but in a green livery.
The same render but in a black livery.
Once again I was wondering what livery people thought looked best to print my Rocket locomotive model in. I quite like the green but already have so many green locomotives, so maybe the brown? #modelrailway #Blender #00gauge
A side view of my old 3D printed model of Stephenson's Rocket with a newly designed tender. They are both 00 gauge placed onto track for reference. The tender has standard metal wheels used for rolling stock.
A more top down view of the same model, with more of the "interior" of the tender on display, currently it is still a prototype so it contains no coal load. Also a seam line on the water tank is present as the tolerance on parts needs to be addressed in the next prototype.
A behind shot of the tender. A NEM style coupling is screws into the back to allow it to couple up to all UK 00 gauge rolling stock.
While I continue work on my #3Dprinted Stephenson's Rocket model, I thought I would show the prototype for the tender. For now it is coupled to my old dummy model for reference. The tender runs on metal wheels and uses pickups to increase the reliability of the engine. #modelrailway #00gauge

I recently bought 2 of these little tank engines cheaply with the intention of using them for parts. Now I've serviced them I think I might keep them as part of my collection. They run as well as these Hornby 0-4-0 can, maybe I'll upgrade the motors at some point. #modelrailway #Hornby #00gauge
A top down shot of a work in progress 3D printed Lady locomotive, from Thomas and the magic Railroad. It is still in the process of being printed so the boiler, smokebox, coal bunker and anything above the running board is not printed. The crank rods are printed in red and the cylinders are green. Inside the frames there is a drive gear attached to the drive wheels, other than this there is no mechanism yet with no motor attached.
This shot is from behind the locomotive and has a temporary boiler in brown filament clipped onto the running board. More of the running board and wheels are shown from this angle. Along with the boiler is a separately printed bulkhead with controls picked out like the regulator in red.
This is a front shot still with the brown body shell on. From the front there is a long screw going up through the running board that will screw into the smokebox at a later date.
I've started to print the final parts for my #Thomasandfriends Lady locomotive. So far it's going together decently, but there are a few changes that need to be made. I'm hoping it will look good by the end. #modelrailway #3Dprinted #00gauge
Just finished #3Dprinting the new body shell for my Rocket model, into which I installed the gearbox and thankfully the wheels turn very freely. I hope this will continue once I install the motor. #modelrailway #00gauge #3Ddesign #3Dprinted

A close up shot of a 3D printed gearbox that will be fitted into my Stephenson's Rocket model. Fitted into the gearbox is a metal drive axle with a wheel attached on one of the ends. The drive axle has a gear which goes up to the worm wheel which will then connect to the worm gear later. This worm wheel is attached to the gearbox with a metal rod made from a paperclip. The metal rod has not yet been cut so the paperclip is still present on the gearbox. A small 10 pence piece has been put next to the gearbox to give an idea of how small it has to be to fit inside the 00 gauge Rocket body.
I've been quite busy today working on multiple projects, one of which is my motorised #3Dprinted Stephenson's Rocket. I've just finished printing the prototype gearbox for the model, the gears seem to turn nicely so I hope it will work with the motor. #Modelrailway #3Ddesign #00gauge

Here's a quick running session of my #3Dprinted Thomas model. I love how the model looks in the coloured filament, and hope to have the designs released soon so you can print one at home. #modelrailway #TTTE #Thomasandfriends #00gauge #3Dprintable
A side shot of my 3D printed Thomas model from Thomas and Friends. Thomas is printed in a green filament for his livery which I wanted to try out, with a black running board and red buffer beams at both ends. As well as a black cab roof. He is also fitted with black wheels and is sitting on a line of 00 gauge track.
A behind shot of the same locomotive, with the back of the coal bunker on display as well as a better look at the buffer beam.
A front shot of Thomas with the front sloped buffer beam easier to see. Thomas has not got a face but instead sports a smokebox door designed on the LB&SCR E2 which is what Thomas is based off.
Another side shot of the locomotive from the other side, a near identical shot to the first one.
For Christmas I got several different rolls of filament, so I could finally #3Dprint my Thomas model in colour. I'm so happy with the results and can't wait to show the locomotive running. #modelrailway #TTTE #Thomasandfriends #00gauge
