#10ThingsIWantToDoBeforeITurn40EP9 just hammers home what an insane decision it was to have Suzume/Keishi hardly interact last episode. They are a little bit magic together.

1. Suzume got sick and wished for someone to be there to help with simple things like the dishes. I get that completely.
2. Independence is hard to let go of. I like how Keishi still showed up even without being asked.
