It has made a huge difference in my affective situation to be at #2023ASA , surrounded by the thinkers I learn from, sharing ideas, care and commitment, seeing people buy @dukepress.bsky.social books (for $15!!!) with an enthusiasm for seeing them in person -- all buoying at a rough time.
