I got introduced to Mangan during #20GreatCanadianTunes. The assumption is that "Tina" in the title/chorus is Tina Turner, and Elvis is Elvis, and "Frankie in his wild years" is either Sinatra or a Tom Waits reference???

Day 27: "An American Draft Dodger in Thunder Bay," Sam Roberts
This was the first song I chose for my #20GreatCanadianTunes challenge in April, and I've been listening to it a lot since then with even deeper appreciation for the storytelling and its use of geography.
In the spirit of #20GreatCanadianTunes here's another great #Canadian tune.
E is the first track on my current favourite album by @nojoy.bsky.social Wait To Pleasure. It's a brush fire of a song that ignites immediately and slowly builds to a full sonic maelstrom.
