I’m QUITE excited about my #20Kin5Days project. I started building the Pinterest board last night. Today I am looking through my pre-work scribbles so I can tell the story to myself. I am going to have to write this one rather quickly because I want it to be ready for BRBF and Wine with Writers.
#20Kin5days is dropping me back into Love's Crossing (aka the black cowboy book closing my family saga series). Nate's fish out of water tale starts in dusty central Texas. So far, we have: a runaway llama, Nate's fool energy jokes, and an older heroine who is NOT impressed with his foolishness.

Capped off #20kin5days with a mini retreat in the Piney Woods (also the location of my next story). The smell of wisteria is in the air! Looking forward to my Dallas romance writing retreat next week. …Gotta finish my next small-town steamy romance. Age gap, BWWM…coming soon.
Day 3 of #20Kin5days. I am writing fan fiction today. Music of my Heart needs an update and I could use the break from #PotterLake4.
Good progress today on #20Kin5days. I haven't counted words since I am mostly editing chapters I already wrote. Tomorrow is new words and I am WFH so I will have limited interruptions.
Day 1 of #20Kin5Days! I have a light calendar today so I might write on my lunch break and then drop in tonight at 7.
I am looking forward to getting a chunk of Potter Lake 4 down, plus explore what kinda short I want to write for April.

This should be December 31, 2022. I was determined to not go another year without publishing a book.
This book was also my first #20Kin5Days project.
I've been doing #20kin5days since that's been something that's helped me progress on projects, even when stalling on them, but feel free to adjust the time and goal to do your own thing. I know some who stretched it out to 20K in 20 days.

Today is the beginning of September's #20kin5days challenge hosted by the inimitable Tasha L Harrison! I thought I'd share my artboard for this current project to help keep up my enthusiasm!

For the month, I'd like to get a true outline together for this project and get something written for it!
Last RT had writing sprint streamers. There are a number of discords that do writing events, including the Global Write In Crawl. There's also #1000WordsofSummer which mostly congregates on substack and slack. And of course Wordmakers does #20kin5Days. Lots of ways to find writing communities.
