I remember we were in an amusement park in Finland (I forgot the name) & what was so awesome & cool about it is that every ride there was free! You didn't have to pay for a ticket for any ride at all! 😲😃🤘 Though you did have to pay at the entry to get in to the amusement park itself, which is reasonable. And not only that, but they had a few arcade cabinets & games, & those where free to play too! Either they did it wrong or they never understood the source material! Nowadays that genre is getting slightly better, but not always great - Doom: Annihilation was bad despite having well known easter eggs from the games, the 1st Sonic the Hedgehog movie was ok, but I wasn't really a fan of it (I tried to watch the 2nd movie, but I need another try on that one) & despite the reboot Mortal Kombat movie being rated-R I still didn't like it! The upcoming 2nd movie however does look promising & I really hope it will be a great movie! 🙏 If you want a really great Mortal Kombat movie, watch Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, even MKL: Battle of the Realms & Cage Match where good movies as well! A literal pile of poo that sings as a video game boss, seeing Banjo from Banjo-Kazooie as a head taxidermy, that Nintendo was actually okay with releasing a raunchy, adult themed game which they normally would never do, & that they where actually able to fill a whole dialogue in a Nintendo 64 cartridge! To my knowledge, Conker & Resident Evil 2 are the only two N64 games to have a whole dialogue, which was a technical miracle to be able to do that on a cartridge at the time, you could only do that on CD like the PlayStation & Sega Saturn. A sequel was planned but it got cancelled because at the time Rare was purchased by Microsoft & they wheren't interested, and that shows one of the reasons why Rare fell down when they where purchased by Microsoft! And I'm pretty sure it was my dad who suggested getting this game because it takes place in space , you're playing as a starship #shooting other starships & on the cover box it looked pretty #scifi - ish & sci-fi was my dad's favorite genre. That's my guess at least. My parents weren't uber gamers, but my mom loves Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt & she has also played this game. I understand that not everybody liked that controller because you held it so weirdly & sadly the joysticks can easily get very loose If not careful later on with age. But I still like it & my controllers still works fine, even though sometimes it feels like the joystick is near to be stiffed up or to be loose... Great soundtrack & great suspense, but you definitely need a map or check a walkthrough since this is one of those "Where the fuck do I go?!" games 😜 Since there are #metroid games on NES & #snes , it really is a shame that we never got a Metroid game on the N64, it would have definitely been a cult classic just like Super Mario 64 & Ocarina of Time. It still got a sequel, but it was more of its own game, the only thing it shared with its predecessor was the name & the violence. And being a stealth game as well, If I remember right, but it didn't have the same appeal like the 1st game. Also, even If this game got a remaster it's not sure that it will look or play better either. And Evil Dead: Regeneration is one of them. To me that game still looks really great, especially the Xbox version where many of these games where more brighter than on PS2 (though you can argue that you can also fix the brightness on the PS2 games as well). There are three #evildead games, plus the new multiplayer game, & of all the previous Evil Dead games I think many would agree that this one still has the better graphics in comparison. Plus this game was already out when N64 was still new & Smash Bros. came out I believe 1 year later. One time I had a birthday party in 5th grade & almost every classmate, boys & girls, were there & we even had a Mario Kart tournament, but unfortunately I only had, & still do, two controllers.
