I try my level best to avoid cars and traffic, sometimes there's just no safe way to go and you have to mix in. Sometimes it's terrifying and the things that scare cyclists are rarely even noticeable to the drivers that do them. One wrong twitch and we're buzzard bait.

I make a point to ride in a super predictable line when I have to share the road w cars - usually drivers get the idea or I get passed on the left and cars swoop out into the oncoming lane. Today I got passed on the right, the curb side lolz. Cars make ya crazy

Ohio has the most official US Bicycle Routes, but to get a direct route to the nearest grocery I have to either risk my family's safety or go three miles out of the way. Leisure MUPs don't cut it as cycling infra anymore
