North American Arms is an interesting company. Their Guardian is a simple blowback pistol that's chambered in the much-beleagured .32 ACP round, and it's vaguely reminiscent of the Raven / Bryco / Jennings pistols of yore.

Speaking of Beretta ... this M1935 pistol is an absolute delight in the hand. It does have one quirk: the slide locks back on an empty magazine, but when the magazine is removed from the pistol the slide lock releases.

Browning's M1922 pistol was a sleek and elegant design that was originally developed for Yugoslavia. During the Nazi occupation of Belgium, the Fabrique Nationale plant in Liege produced several hundred thousand of these pistols for the Wehrmacht.
