Two weeks ago I played some «The Incredible Machine» (covered in PC Games 3/1993: www.kultboy.com/index.php?si...). 🎈🔫🥊🎾This time I went for puzzle mode & solved 14 of them; it wasn’t that much fun, tho. Free experimentation was always the core of this game. 💁‍♂️ #PCgames #33YearsAgo #dosGaming #games

This month I played «Microprose Formula One Grand Prix» (reviewed in PC Games 2/1993: www.kultboy.com/index.php?si...). 🏎️ I very much enjoyed some nostalgia in the menus (love the map view) and I can see, how this was a big technical achievement back then. 🏁 #games #33YearsAgo

Last week I tried to play «Storm Master» again (reviewed in PC Joker 3/92: ‪kultboy.com/index.php?site=t&i…‬). 🌬️⛵️ I still cannot crack it – there is so much to do, so many options. 🤯 The style, however, still lures me in – I love that the council is your interface to the kingdom. #games #33YearsAgo

This month I played «Might and Magic IV: Clouds of Xeen» (German review in PC Games 1/93: www.kultboy.com/index.php?si...). As a fan of «Might and Magic III», I expected to enjoy this one as well, but it was too similar and just not interesting enough to keep me playing. #PCgames #games #33YearsAgo

I recently reminisced with fellow game devs about the great games Max Design created back in the 90s. 🧡🩵 A week ago I played «1869», their sea trading simulation. ⛵️ I love the music and the pixel art; the gameplay though … not that interesting anymore (+ colonialism 🙄). 🤷‍♂️ #PCgames #games #33yearsAgo

Two days ago I played «Legend of Kyrandia: Book One» (🗞️ review in PC Games 11/92)
Graphics & music are very Westwood; feels like coming home, if you enjoyed Dune or Lands of Lore. 😌
The puzzles are not that difficult. I was impressed by the pixel art DOF in the intro. 🤩 #PCgames #games #33yearsAgo

I particularly enjoyed hooking the floppy drive up to my Mac and installing the game inside DosBox using the original floppy disks. 💾💾💾💾 They still work! 😊 Although it is a USB floppy drive, the sound still takes me back to the times when it was part of a 386 desktop PC. 🟠🔊 #games #33yearsAgo

Today I played «Lure of the Temptress» by Revolution Software (the early Charles Cecil), which was reviewed in PC Games 10/92. Although the game is short, controls and character dynamics feel quite modern, almost like an open world game. The creators called it “Virtual Theatre”. 🎭 #games #33yearsAgo

🗓️ 33 years & 3 months ago my brother bought the first issue of the »PC Games« (10/92). 📰 I was eight years old and amazed by all the colorful screenshots of games I did not know anything about. 🤩 Years later I would become a subscriber myself. #PCgames #games #33yearsAgo
